Paying for Notion step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Billing lives inside the workspace: Settings → Billing or the Upgrade button in the sidebar.
- Pricing is per workspace member, so the charge depends on how many people have the member role.
- Annual billing is cheaper than monthly; switching from monthly to annual is prorated.
- The workspace owner pays: the card is attached to the workspace, not to a member's personal account.
- On iPhone you can buy inside the app through your Apple ID — then it is managed in App Store settings.
What can go wrong
If the Notion payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Notion does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- Members added mid-period are charged in a separate payment — keep a buffer on the card.
- VAT or sales tax is added depending on the billing-address country.
- With several workspace owners, check whose card is attached: one owner changing it changes it for everyone.
