Paying for Etsy step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Payment goes through Etsy Payments: enter the card at checkout and it is charged right after you place the order.
- Pick the display currency in site settings; the charge is in the shop's currency and converted by the bank.
- Digital items — templates, prints, planners — are available to download right after payment, with no shipping.
- An order from several makers is paid in one payment, but each maker ships separately.
What can go wrong
If the Etsy payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Each maker chooses shipping countries; if yours is not listed, you cannot order the physical item.
- The card charge may differ slightly from the site price if the price is shown in one currency and the shop works in another.
- Custom orders are often non-refundable — check the terms with the maker before paying.
