Paying for eBay step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- eBay collects payment on behalf of sellers: enter the card at checkout, and it is charged right after the purchase or winning bid.
- Save the card in your account's payment settings to pay in one click later.
- The total includes price, shipping and taxes if the seller charges them — you see it at checkout before confirming.
- After winning an auction you need to pay within a few days, otherwise the seller may cancel.
What can go wrong
If the eBay payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Shipping destinations are set by the seller: many listings show where they ship. Far from all of them ship to Russia.
- A new account without purchase history may be limited on expensive items until it builds a record.
- Returns and disputes go through eBay's guarantee and refunds go to the same card — keep it open until the deal is closed.
