Paying for AliExpress step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Enter the card at the payment step and save it under payment methods in your account if you like.
- Choose the payment currency in site settings or at checkout. With a dollar card, paying in dollars avoids double conversion.
- The money is charged right away, but the seller gets it only after you confirm delivery — buyer protection applies until then.
- Items from several sellers can be paid for in one checkout from the cart.
What can go wrong
If the AliExpress payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Shipping availability and the product range depend on the country in your address: some sellers do not ship everywhere.
- If the order currency differs from the card currency, the total may differ slightly due to the exchange rate.
- A large first order on a new account sometimes goes through an extra check — that is AliExpress's review, not a card decline.
