Paying for Agoda step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Enter the card at the booking payment step and save it to your profile if you like.
- There are pay-now rates and Book now, pay later: with deferred payment Agoda charges the card itself closer to the free-cancellation deadline.
- Pick the payment currency in the site header; some bookings are paid directly to the hotel on arrival — the rate terms say so.
- At check-in the hotel may place a deposit hold, released after check-out.
What can go wrong
If the Agoda payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- With deferred payment the card must have enough by the charge date, or the booking is cancelled.
- The charge may come from Agoda or from the hotel in another country — for the card this is a normal foreign transaction.
- Non-refundable rates cannot be refunded on cancellation, even if paid by card.
