Paying for Vercel step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Pro is purchased per team: Team Settings → Billing, where you also add the card.
- Pro includes usage credit; anything beyond it is charged at the end of the cycle.
- Developer seats are paid, viewer seats are free.
- Spend Management lets you set a spending limit and alerts, and pause projects when it is hit.
What can go wrong
If the Vercel payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Hobby is for non-commercial use only and you can't buy extra usage on it — hitting the limit means moving to Pro.
- A traffic or function spike can push the bill well above 20 dollars — set a limit before launching ads.
- If a charge fails, the team is restricted and deployments may stop.
