Paying for Canva step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Subscribe via Try Pro or in Settings → Plans and billing; that is also where you change the card later.
- The Pro trial is free, but the card is required upfront: the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- You can pay monthly or yearly — yearly is cheaper per month.
- Canva Business is billed per team member, and the invoice goes to the team owner.
What can go wrong
If the Canva payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Canva does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- Pricing depends on the account country: some countries have regional prices, so the profile country should match the card.
- If you forget to cancel the trial, the first charge covers the whole chosen term — a full year on an annual plan.
- If a renewal fails, Pro features switch off and designs with Pro elements can't be downloaded without watermarks.
