Paying for Dropbox step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Subscribe on the plans page; change the card under Settings → Billing.
- The Plus price shown is for yearly billing; monthly billing costs more.
- A yearly plan charges 12 months at once, a monthly plan charges every month on the signup date.
- Team plans are billed per user, and the invoice goes to the team admin.
What can go wrong
If the Dropbox payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Price and currency depend on the country — in Europe, for example, plans are shown in euros — so the card country should match the address.
- If a renewal fails, after a short grace period the account drops to free Basic and sync stops once it is over the limit.
- The trial requires a card and converts to paid automatically.
