Paying for Slack step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- The workspace owner or an admin subscribes: workspace menu → Tools & settings → Billing.
- The price is per active member per month on monthly billing; annual billing is cheaper.
- Under Slack's Fair Billing Policy you don't pay for inactive members and get credit for them.
- Company name, address and tax ID for invoices go into billing details.
What can go wrong
If the Slack payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Slack does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- Slack has restricted accounts connected to Russia and follows US sanctions rules — this is stated in its own terms.
- If a charge fails, the workspace drops to the free plan and older messages are hidden.
- The invoice changes with the number of active members — keep a buffer.
