Paying for Riot Games step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Buy currency in the store inside the game client: the top-up button, pick a pack and payment method, then enter the card.
- Available payment methods and pack prices depend on the server region your Riot account belongs to.
- Each payment is a one-time purchase of the chosen pack; there are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
- Purchased currency is tied to the region: RP from an EU server does not move to a NA server.
What can go wrong
If the Riot Games payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- The account region decides which payment methods the store shows — the card has to fit that region.
- Region transfers are time-limited and do not carry purchases over in every game.
- Refunds for spent currency are limited by Riot's rules — double-check the pack before paying.
