How much Namecheap costs
Prices from the official page as of 2026-11-02. The service may change them; the exact amount is shown at checkout.
- .com renewal — $18.48 per year
Paying for Namecheap step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- You pay at cart checkout; the card can be saved under Profile → Billing → Payment methods.
- You can top up Account Funds and pay for domains and renewals from that balance.
- An ICANN fee of 20 cents per year is added to the domain price.
- The first year is often discounted, renewal goes at the regular price — check it on the TLD page before buying.
What can go wrong
If the Namecheap payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Namecheap does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- In 2022 Namecheap stopped serving accounts connected to Russia — this was the service's own decision.
- Auto-renew runs a few days before expiry; if the charge fails, the domain may enter redemption, which costs more to recover.
- Anti-fraud may hold an order and ask for identity verification if account and card details don't match.
