Paying for JetBrains step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- You buy in the JetBrains online store, and the license is tied to your JetBrains Account.
- There are personal licenses and organization licenses — the latter cost more and are issued to a company.
- Subscriptions are monthly or yearly; with continuous yearly renewal the personal price drops in years two and three.
- Change the card and auto-renew in your JetBrains Account under subscriptions.
What can go wrong
If the JetBrains payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- JetBrains does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- JetBrains stopped sales in Russia and Belarus in 2022 — this is the service's own restriction.
- A personal license can't be paid for by a company or shared with colleagues — teams need organization licenses.
- If auto-renew fails, the IDE stops working under the subscription and the continuity discount may reset.
