Paying for Discord Nitro step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Subscribe in User Settings: open Nitro, pick a plan and enter the card. On desktop and in the browser the payment goes straight through Discord.
- In the iPhone and Android apps the subscription goes through the App Store or Google Play — the Tegro card then has to be linked to the app store.
- Prices vary by country: Discord shows the final amount in the checkout window, and your exact plan price is in the Nitro settings.
- You can gift Nitro to a friend — pay with the same card and the recipient redeems it via a link.
What can go wrong
If the Discord Nitro payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Discord Nitro does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- If you already subscribed through the App Store, you cannot subscribe again by card on desktop until the old subscription ends.
- If auto-renewal fails, Discord gives a few days to update the card, then Nitro and the server boosts switch off.
- The country in the card address affects price and tax — use the card's issuing country.
