Paying for Battle.net step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Add the card in Battle.net account settings under payment methods, or enter it at checkout in the Battle.net shop.
- A WoW subscription runs for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months — longer periods are cheaper per month — and renews automatically.
- You can top up your Battle.net Balance and pay from it for games, the subscription and in-game purchases.
- Prices and currency depend on the account country set at registration.
What can go wrong
If the Battle.net payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- You cannot change the Battle.net account country yourself — only through Blizzard support, and not always. The card should match the account country.
- The WoW subscription and game time bought for gold (the WoW Token) are different: the token is bought in game and does not renew via the card.
- Purchases in console versions of the games are billed by the console store, not Battle.net.
