How much Prime Video costs
Prices from the official page as of 2026-11-02. The service may change them; the exact amount is shown at checkout.
- Amazon Prime (Prime Video included) — $14.99 per month
- Amazon Prime, annual — $139 per year
- Prime Video Ultra (ad-free add-on) — $4.99 per month
Paying for Prime Video step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- In the US Prime Video is paid as part of Amazon Prime: add the card to your Amazon wallet and subscribe on amazon.com.
- Prime can be paid monthly or for a full year — the annual option is noticeably cheaper.
- Ad-free viewing is a separate add-on, Prime Video Ultra, charged to the same card.
- Rentals, purchases and paid channels are billed separately on top of the subscription.
What can go wrong
If the Prime Video payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Prime Video does not serve users in Russia: the account may be restricted if the service decides it is used from Russia. The card does not change that.
- The Prime Video catalog depends on where you watch and on the Amazon account country — titles differ between countries.
- Amazon may ask you to verify the card or decline it if the wallet address doesn't match the card's issuing country.
- The Prime trial also needs a card, and afterwards it renews automatically at full price.
