Use the card like any foreign bank card:

The creator sets each tier's price — pick a tier on their page and enter the card at checkout on patreon.com.
Most memberships are charged on the day you join and then monthly on the same date. Some creators bill on the 1st of every month.
Many creators offer discounted annual billing, charged for 12 months at once.
In the Patreon iPhone app payment may go through the App Store, where the price can be higher than on the website.

What can go wrong

If the Patreon payment fails, it is usually one of these:
