Paying for Medium step by step
Use the card like any foreign bank card:
- Join at medium.com/membership: choose a plan and enter the card on the payment page.
- Monthly and annual billing are available; annual is cheaper.
- In the Medium iPhone and Android apps you can subscribe through the App Store or Google Play and manage it there.
- Part of every fee goes to the writers you read, and Friend of Medium sends them more.
What can go wrong
If the Medium payment fails, it is usually one of these:
- Without a membership you get only a few member-only stories per month.
- If you subscribed through an app store, you can't change the card on the Medium website.
- If the card country and profile address differ, the payment may be declined.
