Paying for Duolingo step by step

Use the card like any foreign bank card:

  • Super Duolingo can be bought in the app or on the website, while Duolingo Max is sold only in the mobile app.
  • In the iPhone and Android apps payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, so the card is attached to your Apple ID or Google account.
  • There are individual and family plans for up to six people, monthly or annual.
  • The trial needs a card and turns into a paid subscription when it ends.

What can go wrong

If the Duolingo payment fails, it is usually one of these:

  • The price depends on the country of your app store account, so people see different amounts.
