How much Audible costs

Prices from the official page as of 2026-11-02. The service may change them; the exact amount is shown at checkout.

  • Standard — $8.99 per month
  • Premium Plus — $14.95 per month
  • Premium Plus, annual — $149.50 per year

Paying for Audible step by step

Use the card like any foreign bank card:

  • Subscribe at audible.com or via your Amazon account: the card comes from your Amazon wallet or is entered at signup.
  • Standard gives one title a month; Premium Plus gives a credit for any title plus unlimited listening to the Plus Catalog.
  • New members usually get a trial, which needs a card and renews automatically when it ends.
  • The Audible iPhone app doesn't sell titles for money — credits and purchases are handled on the website.

What can go wrong

If the Audible payment fails, it is usually one of these:

  • An Audible account is tied to a specific marketplace — US, UK, Germany and so on. Catalogs and prices differ, and moving between them is limited.
  • Amazon may decline the card if the wallet address doesn't match the card's issuing country.
  • Unused credits expire some time after you cancel — spend them before cancelling.
